Lepenski Vir

What do these images mean?
What do they do?
What do they want?

All three images presents a realistic humanistic expression, possessing a fish-like mouth. On each face, there seems to be a large focus on its wide eyes, which try to grab ones attention; the second image is the only one to contain extremities (arms). To make it seem geared more toward the fish-like approach, both on the bodies of the first and second image seem to contain what looks like to be scales from a fish. Also, when looking at the third image it seems as if this 'fish' is trying to break out of its egg. The expression on its face seems to be one of either anguish or struggle. I'm not too sure exactly what the image may want, but it could be possible that these relics were meant to show how important fish were to the Lepenski Vir people. Since these people lived near the water one could imagine how much hunting fish was integrated into their culture. It could even be possible that these fish were also integrated into their religion; these might have been used to represent some sort of "fish gods."
